Laughing Cows Comedy is the longest running comedy club with an all female line up in certainly in the UK, possibly in Europe, maybe even in the world ! Celebrating 17 years of producing Laughing Cows Comedy show. Please note the date change for our regular monthly show at The Frog and Bucket in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

This months xmas special includes Mrs Barbara Nice, ‘A hybrid between Victoria Wood and Mrs Merton’ (The Times.) the much loved headline act in Britain. No audience is too rowdy for her to handle – she’s already raised five teenagers. She believes in bargains, Take a Break magazine, getting the most from life. Oh and Stage-diving! This well observed comedy character is so likeable that she draws even the most cynical of audiences and takes them along for a ride. ”You’re guaranteed the best night out with a woman old enough to be your mother that you`ve had in a long time!” – British Theatre Stage.

Also this month as an extra special Xmas treat we have comedy sketch group Noblash with Kerry Leigh and Mandy Tootill, featuring Laura Frances. Mandy is from Wigan. Kerry is from Stockport. Pies and hats don’t mix, their friends said. It won’t work. But they knew when two nobs meet, great comedy is born. Two right nobs…One wrong show. They received a standing ovation at their inaugural show at the 2015 women in comedy festival and here is your chance to see them again !

Hayley Ellis, described as “Destined for comedy greatness” (XFM) brings her face to the Laughing Cows Comedys 17th Birthday. She talks of Vienetta, how her granddad thinks she’s now too old to be a mother and how she thinks about her funeral song more than her wedding song. Hayley has provided Tour support for Kerry Godliman and Roisin Conaty amongst others.

Last but certainly not least we have Lesley Kershaw who says that her act can best be described as ‘Butch meets the menopause’. Les will share with you her hilarious journey through the menopause where she finds new interests such as ‘a little bit of light dusting’ dogging and badge making. ‘Audiences love her dry, Northern patter delivered with confidence. VERY funny.’ (Kerry Leigh) Lesley Kershaw, is ‘a new comedy voice to be reckoned with’ (Diva). She’s a down to earth and lovable Butch who will bring the house down, chatting candidly about everything from dogging to badge making! ‘Comedy with true heart and style, like the filthy daughter of Thora Hird’ (Janey Godley)
