Come along and ask the parliamentary candidates questions about issues facing women and girls in Darlington.

Central Hall, Dolphin Centre, Darlington.

Thursday 30 April 2015 from 7:00 and 8:30 pm
Doors open from 6:30pm.

This hustings is hosted by Darlington and Co. Durham Rape and Sexual Abuse Counselling Centre.

30 April 2015 ~ 2015 submissions for London Feminist Film Festival – deadline

ELIGIBILITY FOR LFFF 2015:
• Women directors from any country may enter. In the case of multiple directors, all should be women.
• Films should deal with feminist issues and/or be feminist in their representation of women.
• Films can be of any length or genre, and from any year.
• Non-English language films should be presented in English-subtitled versions
• You have to be able to provide a Blu-Ray or DVD for screening purposes via post if your film is selected for LFFF 2015.
Deadline for entry: 31 April 2015.

2015 SUBMISSION FEES:
• Short Films (under 25 minutes) – £ 7.00
• Mid Length Films (between 25 minutes and 50 minutes) – £ 10.00
• Full Length Films (above 50 minutes) – £ 12.00

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR FILM:

UK:
• Please pay your submission fee, funded via your bank account or PayPal balance, using the “Send money to friends or family” method to: submissions@londonfeministfilmfestival.com
ADD A NOTE to your payment stating the title of the film you are paying for.

Outside UK:
• Please pay your submission fee in GBP (£), funded via your bank account or PayPal balance, using the “Send money to friends or family” method to: submissions@londonfeministfilmfestival.com

Fill in the form at the bottom of this page to submit your film. If you are submitting multiple films, please make separate payments for each individual film and complete one form for each film you are submitting. Do not forget to click the “Submit” button once you have completed the form.

IMPORTANT NOTES
• The deadline for all submissions is 31 April 2015.
• DVDs submitted cannot be returned.
• The submission form and accompanying payment should be sent within no more than 2 hours of each other.
• Successful applicants will be notified by 15 June 2015.
• The festival reserves the right to use an excerpt not exceeding three minutes from any selected film(s) for promotional purposes.

30 April 2015 10:00 ~ “This is not my destiny” Reflecting on responses to forced marriage in England and Wales – ROW – Sheffield

A free 1 day conference hosted by Imkaan and Rights of Women in partnership with local specialist women’s organisations.

The conference will explore the current prevention, protection and provision for survivors of forced marriage, the new law criminalising forced marriage, and other legal remedies available to protect victims, including Forced Marriage Protection Orders.
