A Multicultural and Feminist Approach (accredited training)

Course Dates (12 days, plus 2 days of assessments):
10th, 11th, 24th & 25th September 2015
8th, 9th, 22nd & 23rd October 2015
5th, 6th, 19th & 20th November 2015
Assessment days: 26th & 27th November 2015

Course times: Registration starts from 9.30am. Training will be between 10am-4.30pm on each date.

About this course: This programme provides a comprehensive introduction to the issues involved in working with women recovering from experiences of gendered violence. It is informed by feminist principles and promotes a holistic range of therapeutic techniques that reclaim ancient and traditional women centred ways of healing, seeking inspiration and expression from diverse global cultures. The programme also incorporates the latest advancements in neuroscience to aid understanding of the physiological responses of trauma and the long term impact on women’s lives.

The training programme consists of 12 one-day sessions, with a combination of lectures, exercises, Role plays and multimedia presentations. The interactive nature of the course provides delegateswith an opportunity to participate in and contribute to the training. Participants will also be able tolearn from each other and the facilitators. This course is accredited by OCN London and has a total credit value of: 24 credits
