Join the Women’s Networking Hub and Naomi Wilcox-Lee, founder of the Sheroes of History blog for a screening of the independent film “Feminist: Stories from Women’s Liberation” by Jennifer Hall Lee followed by a discussion and Q&A with key activists from the city.
Jennifer Hall Lee produced “Feminist: Stories from Women’s Liberation” as she felt the women’s liberation movement in the States was not known and key voices and messages were being lost. This evening will show how the history of the rise of the global women’s movement had an impact on women in Birmingham.
The post screening panel will feature key activists from Birmingham who were working on the ground and they will share their experiences of the women’s movement in Birmingham from the 1970’s and beyond.
The Women’s Networking Hub endeavours to ensure all events are free to attend and would welcome any donation either when booking your ticket or on the door. Your donation will help the Women’s Networking Hub to continue this practice wherever possible.
Please do engage with us on social media and contribute towards the discussion via the Women’s Networking Hub facebook group or via twitter @WNHUK
